What we need to be saved is to surrender to Jesus and trust His power to save us. John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for WITHOUT ME YE CAN DO NOTHING.John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them GAVE HE POWER to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: I received Him when I learned that without Him I was spiritually helpless. The list of things that He can do that I cannot do is endless. I do not have the power to be happy or satisfied without Him. I do not have the power to accomplish anything of spiritual value without Him. I do not have the power to be saved and avoid Hell without Him. Men simply do not have the power to save themselves or one another. Jeremiah 10:23 O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps.Psalms 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
